3G,2G,1G

3G or 3rd generation mobile telecommunications,is a generation of standards for mobile phones and mobile telecommunication services fulfilling the international mobile telecommunications-2000(IMT-2000) specifications by the international telecommunication union. It provides mobile broadband access of several Mbit/s to smartphones snd mobile modems in laptop computers. INDIA: In 2008,india entered the 3G arena with the launch of 3G enabled mobile and data services by government owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam(BSNL).Later MTNL,launched 3G in Delhi & mumbai.Nationwide auction of 3G wireless spectrum was announced in April 2010. The first private sector service provider that launched 3G services in Tata Docomo, on november 5,2010. And the second is by vodafone launched their 3G by mid of march,2011.Then, Bharti Airtel launched their 3G services on 24 january 2011 in bangalore and also launched in delhi & jaipur on march 4,2011(not GSM but only USB estick).Aircel also launched its 3G services in mid April.Other providers like virgin are expected to launch 3G services by 2011. The 3G spectrum aunction in india began on 9 April 2010. APPLICATIONS: 1)Mobile TV-A provider redirects a TV channel directly to the subscribers phone where it can be watched. 2)Video on demand-A provider sends a movie to the subscribers phone. 3)Video Conferencing-Subscribers can see as well as talk to each other. 4)Tele-medicine-A medical provider monitors or provides advice to the potentially isolated subscriber. 5)Location-based services-A provider sends localized weather or traffic conditions to the phone,or the phone allows the subscribes to find nearby businesses or friends. 2G: Three pimary benefits of 2G networks over their precedecessors were that phone conversions were digitally encrypted:2G systems were significantly more efficient on the spectrum allowing for far greater mobile phone peneration levels: & 2G introduced data services for mobile,starting with SMS text messages. DISADVANTAGE: Less of the tonality but more clearly. 1G: It refers to the first generation of wireless telephone technology. Introduced in 1980's. 1G networks use are analog,While 2G networks are digital. 1G is modulated to higher frequency,typically 150MHz & up
